Railroad gardens are like visiting miniature worlds filled with bustling trains, small villages with hard working people, and realistic landscapes with tunnels and bridges all in a natural environment. We enjoy creating and building train layouts of all sizes and shapes. Everyone likes to share information on all facets of this fascinating hobby of garden railroading. Usually on a monthly basis, we come together around members' layouts to enjoy great food and conversation while viewing G scale trains running through the gardens.
Activities
Host monthly MKGR Gatherings in members' railroad gardens.
Attend National Garden Railway Convention and tour railroad gardens.
Field trips to special events.
Set up train layouts at selected model train shows.
Present clinics of interest on large-scale trains and gardens.
Conduct public garden railroad tours, sharing members' gardens and railroads.
